Precise masking and clipping was required to isolate this image from its original background in order to add a drop shadow and layer it over another image. Especially difficult when you are working around hair, fur or, in this case, feathers. As shown in the inset.

This was an image taken by the client with a flash which caused the reflective stripes to glow. A little touch-up and they're gone.
