Inspired by the Calgary Comic Convention, held in April 2009, we went with our cameras and captured some of the colourful characters that showed up. In tribute to comic art we played with the images until we had a satisfactory comic effect.

All Funked Up - Decidedly Jazz Danceworks' 6th annual fundraising benefit.

We volunteered to take photos of the event to use for their future marketing. Fun evening with amazing dances, funky beat and very cool costumes.

February 18, 2009. We just received notification that our image "murder of crows" was one of the 45 images selected out of 1800 entries for the "Through A Lens: Contrasting Elements" show in California. It will be on display in April.

Three of our images were selected for a group show at the Gerry Thomas Gallery in Calgary. Two of the "moving landscapes" series were printed 20"x30" and the City church and crows was 16" x 20". The opening was January 30 and runs until February 28.

October 5, 2008 - Color Correction until our eyes bled.
We attended the Digital Photo Expo in Calgary. We awoke early on a Saturday to go to Dan Margulis famed 4 hour Picture Postcard seminar on color correction using curves, channels and LAB. Takes a dull photo and brings out colours, contrast and detail you thought was lost. Great information and amazing new workflow for us to incorporate. The Camera Store did an excellent job of bringing in all the interesting speakers.

It has been a fairly busy season for art sales. Angela exhibited at the Calgary Stampede's Western Art Showcase and sold 8 pieces. This piece was recently part of the Silent Auction for the Burn Care for Kids Foundation Fundraising Concert and Silent Auction. The Fundraiser was at the end of September and raised $30,000.
